The Nobs?? Temporary name of Led Zeppelin

On February 28, 1970, during Led Zeppelin's European Tour, the had to use the name "The Nobs" for their Copenhagen show.
Countess Frau Eva von Zeppelin, grandchild from Count Ferdinand Adolf Heinrich August Graf von Zeppelin, felt that the band's use of the name was insulting and dishonoured her family; hence, she threatened to sue Led Zeppelin for illegal use of her family name. The band invited her to meet with them in a cordial meeting. However, when she saw the band's album cover showing the Hindemburg burning in flames she exploited again. Therefore, the band had to use a temporary name. It was decided to use "The Nobs", as a kind of recognition to their European tour manager Claude Nobs.

Tierra Santa: Reino de los Suenos

Tierra Santa is a metal band from La Rioja - Spain. It was founded in 1997 and that year they released their 1st album (self produced) etitled "Mediaval". As suggested by the title, the songs were mainly about medieval legends.
From the mentioned album, the 7th track "Reino de los Suenos" (Kingdom of the dremas). A song that I like not only the music, but also its lyrics.

Axl Rose

February 6, 1962, William Bailey Rose was born in Lafayette, Indiana. Maybe you don't get the name William, but if I say Axl Rose I'm sure you know him. He is the lead vocalist and only remaining original member of Guns N' Roses, one of the best hard rock bands of all the times.
In 1987 they released "Appetite for Destruction" (my first vinyl album). This rock masterpiece was well acclaimed all over the world, with several hits that reached the top charts around the world. It was included in the book "1001 Albums you must hear before you die"
I will never forget neither the first time I saw the album's cover (original one) nor the first time I heard Welcome To The Jungle. Today I just want to say Happy Birthday to Axl Rose with the mentioned song.

In the seventies the band introduced a stage show that featured guillotines, electric chairs, fake blood, boa constrictors, baby dolls and monsters. In 1975 Furnier began a solo career adopting the band's name. The band is fore an icon in the rick history. In this post I want to share one on my favorite songs, which was also the first big hit of the band.
